Teeth Whitening

💡 Our advice? Always whiten your natural teeth before getting new restorations — that way, we can match your new crown, veneer, or filling to your beautiful new shade.
Professional teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments we offer — and for great reason!
There's no "one shade fits all" here at Worthing Implant Centre. If you want to go just a little lighter that's fine, but if you're after that Hollywood white, we can do that too.
It's a great way to boost your confidence, and, as we head into the summer - get totally ready for all those holiday snaps.
In your consultation we'll run through everything with you - a full discussion on the shade you wish to achieve. This is the highest quality approach to teeth whitening in the marketplace, with longer lasting results than same day whitening, and is usually suitable for those with even the most sensitive teeth. At just £435, which includes the creation of your bespoke trays that then become yours for life, it's a cost effective cosmetic dentistry solution with clinically proven, safe results.
Here's a simple guide to how it works, with what you need to know before getting started. 👇
🦷How Does Teeth Whitening Work?
1. Consultation
We assess your teeth, check for cavities or sensitivity, and confirm you're a good candidate for whitening.
2. Your Bespoke Trays
We take precise impressions of your teeth and craft custom-moulded whitening trays that fit your smile perfectly — no one-size-fits-all trays here. A snug fit means the gel stays exactly where it needs to be, and nowhere it shouldn't.
3. Whiten at Home, On Your Schedule
Your personalised whitening kit goes home with you! Simply fill the trays with the professional-grade gel and wear them as directed. Most patients start noticing a real difference within just a few days — it's convenient, effective, and works around your life.
4-5 Week Follow-Up Appointment
We invite you back after 4 weeks to review your results, check in on how your teeth and gums have responded, and make sure you're thrilled with your new smile. It's all part of the service.

⚠️ Important: Whitening Won't Work on Replacement Teeth
This is something many people don't realise until it's too late — whitening products only work on natural tooth enamel. The peroxide in whitening gels works by chemically reacting with organic stain molecules inside your natural teeth. Artificial dental restorations are made from materials like porcelain, ceramic, resin, or metal alloys, which simply do not respond to whitening agents.
If you whiten your natural teeth, they will get lighter — but any artificial restorations will stay exactly the same colour they were when they were made. This can create a noticeable mismatch between your natural teeth and your restorations.
Dental work that cannot be whitened includes:
Crowns, Veneers, Dental Implants, Bridges Dentures, Composite Fillings or Bonding

A Haven of Expertise, Excellence & Professionalism
Worthing Implant Centre began from Ross Drybrough's vision of what a dental implant referral centre should be. Initially for complex implant cases - treating patients from all over our local area and beyond - our reputation grew quickly. Patients who were not complex case nor referred by another dentist wanted to come to us and stay with us - knowing they always got amazing results and excellent care. At first we began to accept new patients for general aesthetic dentistry rather than just implants, and today we are a thriving practice dedicated to delivering healthy, beautiful smiles to the people of Sussex covering all aspects of general dentistry, cosmetics and implantology.
Ross trained with Dr Ashok Sethi in Harley Street, taking a Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in London. After successfully gaining this postgraduate qualification, Ross then tutored and taught the implant training programme at the Royal College for nearly ten years - today Ross handpicks and continues to develop all our team. expertise, professionalism and excellence are our values. Worthing Implant Centre had it's origins at Strand Dental, where Ross is also a general dentistry partner, so our name has nearly 20 years experience behind it. In 2018 Ross acquired the derelict North Street building (once the council owned Citizens Advice Bureau) and set about creating his dream of a new hub dedicated to our values. Whilst not always an easy path, the building was completely and beautifully restored, refurbished, and purpose designed for expert health and dental care, with three surgeries, additional treatment rooms, training spaces and the latest technology.

Financial Transparency in All We Do
Your first consultation for implants or the smile clinic is free. We provide a PRICE GUIDE and an additional information pack, but it's better to not try and guess at what you need and have that consultation first. During your full clinical evaluation (the next step) we will be able to provide you with a fully costed treatment plan. We make extra time available to discuss with this with you, highlighting your treatment options and the impact of those decisions.
We aim to make all our pricing as transparent as possible and offer full financing through our trusted partner Practi Health - one of the UK's leading healthcare finance providers. We also accept all major debit and credit cards including AmEx.
We endeavour to pass on the scale savings we make as an established leading implant and aesthetic dentist to our patients wherever we can, meaning our implants start at just £2,550 and composite bonding at £375.
We say we will find a solution that works for you, and we mean it.

Purpose Designed Facilities within one of Worthing's Landmark Buildings
Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities. We completely restored our premises at North Street to reflect our commitment to excellence in our every endeavour - not just your teeth. We have a beautiful, calming waiting room, where you will usually find our attentive receptionist, Amy, and our facilities reflect our pride in every aspect of your care. We have a CBCT scanner in the practice, complimenting our array of excellent technology that enables us to give you a comprehensive assessment in-house, another of the key features, just like keeping our scaleable costs downs, that comes with also being a specialist referral centre.
